The busy life of the beckstroms

Yea so its beyond busy most days here. Between a little man who has started to crawl and cruise furniture to softball and soccer. I never have a minute of peace (ok maybe a minute or two but not much). Marc is almost done with one league of softball but he is starting in another. Now we will have softball tuesdays and thursdays. Hunter is joined fusion for comp. soccer. He has practices tuesdays and thursdays and his first game will be sometime in august (most likley the weekend we are going to be gone on our family reunion). Haylie is wanting to do either soccer or softball she hasnt decided yet. Hers will be in the fall. I still have my monthly girls night out that I love and look forward to. I have also been trying harder to loose weight. So far I am down 5lbs. I attempt to walk 3 miles each night but most nights it just doesnt happen because were to busy. I do go hiking every weekend with a friend and if she cant go I take the kids and drag Marc off the couch. School starts back up in 1 week for the older kids (so cant wait for that day) and the twins wont go back until August 25th (that day is not coming fast enough). That is pretty much out life right now. Here are some of the pictures from the past little bit, Enjoy and I will try to update again soon.

Mr smiley in his walker. Watch out for your feet when he is in it. He likes to run them over.

He was going for a cord. He has a larg love of cords and will go anywere for one.

Dead Body Friend

OK so I am part of a group called cafemom. Today I ran across this post and just went hhhmmmm. I loved it so I am sharing it with you all. Enjoy. (I know random thing to post but hey its a post.)

First let me say; I do not have a dead body (that I am aware of) on the premises, nor have I ever had one. Please continue reading, this post is not as morbid as the title insinuates. I think you will be surprisingly pleased...
I was thinking today about friendships. I have been blessed with some very special friends over the years. There have been certain seasons in my life when just the right person has been placed in my path...and when that period has passed, the friendship fades just like the changing colors of the season. There are other friends, however, that are cemented into my life-true forever friends.
I totally believe in kindred spirits. I do not think "age" has to put an end to those long conversations that continue late into the night. The kind filled with girlish giggling and heartfelt dialogue; whether in person or on the phone with a bosom buddy. Women need those strong friendships, like the air we breathe. We need someone to raid the chocolate stash with when we are PMSing. We need someone that we can share our deepest secrets, hopes and dreams. Someone we can ask advice or turn to when a need comes up. Please do not think that I am suggesting that we take away from our marriage relationship. But, even my husband would agree that a "girlfriend" is a requirement for his sanity...
And the ultimate friendship would be-a dead body friend. I just recently heard this term and absolutely love it! A "dead body friend" is someone that you can call up in the middle of the night/early morning and say, "I've got a dead body at my house..." Without hesitation, no questions asked, this person will come running.
I will pause a second while you contemplate who you would call...
Hopefully most of us will never need help to dispose of a body, but we all need friends that we can call in a moment of crises. Someone who will get out of bed in the dead of night, drop everything in a heartbeat, or do whatever is required to lend a hand in a time of need.
What is a girl supposed to do with a dead body? Call her "dead body" friend!
I'm grateful that I have some very special dead body friends. I hope they realize that I would do the same for them as well. I am pretty sure that I will never have the need for body removal, but it is nice to know I have someone to call if a serious problem ever arises.
So, do you have a dead body friend? I pray you do! Why don't you let that person(s) know today...you don't necessarily have to mention the dead body part(lol)-just how much that special someone means to you.
