Baby Zander

Well he is finally here. On saturday december 13th I went into the hospital at 7am. I had an elective induction. They had me checked in and hooked up with pitocin by 830. By 930 I was having some pretty good hard strong contractions. The nurse asked if I was ok with my water being broke and I said I was ready as long as I had my epidural first. I had to waite until about 1000 for the anastealagist (yea cant spell it). He came in gave me my epidural and then the nurse broke my water at about 1030. Everything went fast from there. I dialated to a 10 within about 30 minutes but then when they checked me they relised Zander was face up not face down like he was supposed to be. They had me roll on my left side hoping he would roll which he did. As soon as he rolled I had to push there was just no if ands or buts about it. I started to push at about 1200. His head got stuck coming out and they couldnt get to his heartbeat so that worried the doctor a little and she had me just push with or without a contraction. He finally made it into this world at 1240 pm on the 13th. He weighted 7lbs 1oz and was 20 inches long. He scored a 8.9 on the APGAR scale. He came out screaming and healthy. I was just happy to have it done and over with lol. So that is the birth of Zander. He is doing well. He sleeps for 3-4 hours at a time then nurses like a champ and goes right back to sleep. I basically only get up once a night to feed which has been nice. The older kids all love him and have been having fun holding him. Here are some pics of him.

zander will be here tomorrow yea !!!!

So I went into my doctor today for my 38-39 week appointment. Well we were talking and I told her how miserable I am. I hurt all over and have been contracting alot mostly at night for 2-3 hours then they stop. Then the next day I feel like my tummy is bruised. Well she said she was working this weekend and "changed" my due date to the 20th so that I can be induced tomorrow. I am so excited. I really didnt want to waite another week and with the way this kid is going he is happy to live in there for the rest of his life. I am dialated 3+ (basically just above a 3 almost a 4) and 60% efaced. I have a very ripe cervix and his head is really really low. I am hoping I can get in in the morning early but who knows with the full moon tonight (fully believe it brings on labor and the doc said in the past few days theyhave picked way up). I will try and update again after Zander is here and post pictures but as you all know it may take a bit to get to it. I am excited to have him here finally and even more excited to have a week with no kids lol. Is that a bad thing? All my kids will be in school and I am closing my daycare for a week so I will have 1 whole week just me the baby and Marc. I am beyond ready for that alone. I am also ready to find my feet once more. It will be nice to be able to put my socks on and not feel like I am going to pop. Well that is it for now. Wish me luck for tomorrow and I will post again as soon as I can.

Ok so I went to the doctor today and was finally checked. I am dialated to a 3 and 50% efaced. When she was trying to check me she said Zanders head was in front of my cervix so she had to reach behind his head and pull the cervix forward (can we just say ouch). She says with how many contractions I am having she doesnt think I will make it through next week. I am hoping to maybe make it to sunday. I think I could handle having him on my birthday lol.
As for the rest of us we are all doing good. Hunter and Haylie have been out of school for 4 weeks and go back Monday (its not coming soon enough). Isaac and Jackson are doing good. They have been pushing there limits with everyone latley but that is not unusual they get some wild hair up there buts and decided to be really annoying and cry about everything.
Marc has been getting up at the butt crack of dawn (ok before dawn 430) every morning to go in to work at 5 for inventory. They decided to cut corners this year and instead of closing for one day and having everyone help they have 4 guys come in early in the morning and do a small amount each day. It will take about 3 weeks to get it done this way and they have to work around the workers that are pulling things its a pain in the butt according to marc.
Christmas is coming fast and I am almost ready. I have a couple more things to get and wrap. I am not so patiently waiting for my Wii to get here (it was shipped today woohoo). I plan on trying it out before wrapping it. We bought it online before the masses. We also got the wii fit and the new shawn white game. I am sure hunter will be in heaven as will marc.
Well that is about all on the family. I will try to update this again but it might not happen until after Zander gets here.

Another update

So this will probably be all jumbled but that is just how my brain works anymore so deal with it lol.
I went to the doctor yesterday and everything looks good. Zander is growing great and his heart is 130 which is right were it should be. I am 34 weeks now so 3 more weeks and I am in the safty zone to deliver at anytime (woohoo). I am having alot of braxton hicks so both the doctor and I feel I wont go much past the first week in December. We are more or less ready for him to come. We were able to get the computer room painted downstairs and between my mom and a friend we have enough carpet pieces to carpet the computer room and the playroom (though it will be patchwork but I could care less as long as its warm). We are working on that today after the BYU game of course (cant interupt football are you crazy lol). Once we get the carpet down we can move all the computer stuff down and start actually putting the nursery together. I will also be moving all my daycare stuff downstairs so I no longer have to chase kids out of the kitchen and other areas they are not allowed in. The older kids are doing good. Haylie and Hunter are off track for the next three weeks (oh yea uuggg). Isaac and Jackson are doing well. Jackson is FINALLY pooping on the potty (he gets a phone book when he does). Isaac still isnt interested. But atleast its one more out of diapers. so basically that is my life as of now in a nut shell.

My day from hell

Ok so to start out today I got Isaac and Jackson up to go to school. Well Isaac for some reason started to flip out for no reason what so ever. He threw a fit all the way to the bus stop. Needless to say I was more then happy to see him get on that bus and be off. Well I go to get back in my car put it into drive and move a foot before it sputters and dies AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH. So I try to start it again. Same thing sputters and dies. So I call Marc and he comes to pick me up. We call a tow company and have them tow it to a shop. They say they will be there in 1 hour. Marc then takes me to my doctor appointment. Everything is going great. I did gain 5 yes 5 lbs in 2 weeks. Not sure this is good but hey atleast I am gaining weight. Well after my appoinment we stop by the church were my car was to see if its been picked up (its been a little over an hour). Its still sitting there. I call the tow company they say the tow guy will be there in 15 minutes. So Marc takes me home and heads back to work. Well he passes by the auto shop were the car should be by now (it took up a good 25 minutes to get home) and the car is not there. So I call the tow company and they say the car was just picked up (2 hours after I first called). Well I then call the auto shop and let them know the car is on the way and they said they would run a diagnostic and call me and let me know. Well they called and they said it would cost 1,425.00 to fix. No way in hell. So we call somewere else and they tell us 800.00. So yeat again another tow fee and another diagnosis. We still havent heard from them but hopefully it will be better then the first. The bad news is we were supposed to go to Pleasant Grove for Hunters soccer game tomorrow and then to my parents house in provo tomorrow night. Then on sunday we were supposed to go to Marcs parents house. Well we cant all fit into Marcs car. So now my dad who is flying in from Charlotte NC after a business thing will pick up Haylie at 11pm tonight and take her home with him. Then tomorrow one of my parents will bring her home. Then on sunday Haylie will go with her dad while the rest of us go up to Marcs parents house for dinner. So luckly we got that all worked out. But once again AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH why is it that when I think I can get ahead I get screwed by a car.

So I was told I was slacking.....

My answer yea yea deal with it. Its been a little crazy here. We are almost done with softball thank goodness. We have one more game tuesday then that is over. Soccer still goes on for a while. Here are some great pics of Hunter playing soccer.

Life has been good just busy. Between soccer, soccer practice, softball ending, the daycare, achivment days, the twins bus breaking down, and just life being pregnant I haven been on much. I am getting huge and that scares me lol. I am afraid this kid is going to be a big baby but I am hoping I am wrong. I dont know you tell me. You all saw the last picture I posted so here is one I took a few days ago at 28 weeks. (dont mind the huge but it seems to grow as much as the baby does I swear)

So there is what I have been up to. (Are you happy now Jade lol). I will try and get better at updating but like I said dont know how well it will work.

What has happened this past week....

So its been a busy week for us. Marc has softball Mon, Tues, and Wednesday. Hunter had soccer practice on tuesdays and I had my doctors appointment on friday.
So Marc is doing well with softball. Both teams he is on (one plays mon, wed the other tuesdays) are undefeated so far. He will play again tonight. The team he is on tomorrow if they beat the team they are up against they will have the best reccord. Both teams that play tomorrow are undefeated.
Hunter had his second game of the tournement he is in for soccer on saturday. It was a 1-3 loss for him. He had a hard time playing becuase he was not feeling 100%. Hopefully next game will be better.
I went to the doctor for a regualr checkup on friday. I had to have my glucose test (check for gestational diabetes). They also checked me for chicken pox (all done by blood work both tests) becasue I have never really had them though I was thrown in a bed with my brothers when I was younger and they both had or got them when me and my sister didnt. Well everything went great. I am measuring 26cm which is right were I shouold be. I am weighting right on also. Then today I got a call and I was worried that I failed the glucose test and would have to do the 3 hour test. Nope Everything looked good. I also was told I am immune to the chicken pox woohoo. But thenthe bad news I am anemic (sp). I am now going to have to try and rememeber to take iron pills oh yea.
Haylie and the twins are both doing well. All the kids are just going to school and coming home to play and go to bed.
So that is about were I am in life right now. I will try and update again later.

UUGGGG

Ok so this week so far has been a living hell. To start the week out Marc had monday off. Well the boys went downstairs to "play" and when Marc went to check on them they had moved the couches and thrown all the toys all over the whole basement. Marc then notices that one of the older kids has taken a dvd out and not put it back in its case (one of his biggest pet peeves). Well neither of them would confess. He gets mad and goes to go downstairs to work on the computer room. He trips and twist his ankle on the way down the stairs falls and rams his knee into the wall on the landing. Huge hole now. At this point Haylie knows she is in bigger trouble and knows she needs to confess so she does and gets in trouble of course. Marc then spends the next few hours in the computer room getting it taped and ready to mudd.
Ok now on to Tuesday. The day was ok just busy as usual and I had to make a run to American Fork to pick up a shirt for Marc's softball game that night. Well Marc takes Hunter to soccer practice and I was going to meet him at the softball fields because our respite care worker couldnt get here until 7. Well at 7:30 Marc calls and says he needs to go to softball and Hunters soccer practice goes until 8:00. My respite car worker was here so I left to go pick Hunter up from soccer practice and then head to the softball game. Me and the older two kids get to the game and Hunter wants to practice baseball with some other boys there. He asks Marc for the car keys because his glove is in the car. Marc gives him the keys then goes to play softball. Hunter 5 minutes later comes up to me and lets me know he has LOCKED THE KEYS IN THE CAR. UUUUGGGGGG. So I ask Marc when he is coming in from outfield if he has another set at home that I can run and get. Of course he doesnt and blows up because his damn keys are locked in the car. So I get out my dex on the go from the van and $60.00 and 45 minutes later have keys in hand for the car. Hunter is mad because we told him he has to pay the money to get the keys out. So he is all pouty and just not a fun kid to be around. After the game I am holding a friends 3 month old baby while he is smoking and all of a sudden we hear heads up and before I could move here comes a softball straight for me. Luckly Marc was close and caught it before it could hit me or the baby. Then when I go to get the kids in the van Haylie is starting to get in the back and once again we hear heads up and a softball misses Haylie by literally 1 inch and hits the side of my van and leaves a nice little mark.
So that is how my week has gone so far. Not to mention the kids I am watching have been on one and do nothing but fight. One cant stand to let the other touch the chair or the couch or the floor or anything else. The other one has learned his favorite word "mine" uuggg. Everything is his. And they scream and yell and fight over everything because of it.
So basically what I am saying is "Is it saturday yet so I can go on my moms night out before I just loose it all together?"

Its about time

So I have been told many times by many people to start a blog spot. I am finally doing it. I cant garantee how well I will do keeping it updated but I will definantly try. As of right now life is busy. We are in the middle of adding another room to our basement so we can move all the computer stuff down there. Then I can start decorating the babies room. I still have no idea what I am going to do there. I wanted to do frogs but Marc vetoed that one. He things its just stupid and wimpy.
Hunter is doing great he is very active and in the middle of competition soccer. He has so far been playing in a mexican league (his team is not a mexican team there just playing in that league to get practice). He is doing great at that and is a defender. The only problem we have is he wont practice. He just started 3rd grade and is in Ms. Stowells class. So far he seems to be enjoying it.
Haylie is just Haylie. She is finally riding a bike thank gooodness. She wants to start dance but I just dont have the time to get her into a class and get her there. I will work more on dance for her when sports settles down a little. She also just started 3rd grade and is also in Ms. Stowells class. She loves the 3rd grade and is loving being able to walk to school now instead of ride the bus (they are going to a brand new school 3 blocks away).
Isaac just started the 2nd grade (wow its seems like yesterday he was in preschool). He is still in Sarah H. class and loving her more and more as are Marc and I. He is doing so well in school and right now is keeping all the teachers on there toes trying to see how far he can push them. For some reason he is wanting to figure out how the tv works and will stand there and stare at the tv for a while then look behind it. Its very cute that he is getting curiouse about this type of thing. Hopefully he just doesnt decide to try and take things apart to see how they work.
Jackson is all over the place like usual. He just started 2nd grade and has moved upstairs with the big kids. Its amazing how fast they grow. He is is Markells class this year and from what we hear she is a great teacher. Jackson is pushing his limits to no end with me. He has relised I dont have the energy or the mobility I used to have and has started to take full advantage of it.
Baby Zander is growing bigger by the day. He has decided its great fun to move all night and sleep all day. He also likes to put his feet in my ribs and leave them there. He is right on track for were he should be and will be here in 3 short months. Uuuggg that is not enough time.
Well that is were we are at for now. I will try to keep this updated but like I said its hard. I will try to write once a week but some weeks are better then others.
